Some more residential Dubai doors and gates for this weeks Thursday doors, from the Jumeirah area.(Arabic: جميرا, “Beautiful”)
Historically, Emirati people living in the Jumeirah were fishermen, pearl divers and traders.
Jumeriah incorporates the beach road areas of the city. It’s a mixture of upmarket Emirati homes and rental villa developments. It is administratively divided into three neighborhoods named “Jumeirah 1,” “Jumeirah 2” and “Jumeirah 3.” It has both expensive and large detached properties as well as more modest townhouses built in a variety of architectural styles.
Just a few to look at this week, the last ones are rather spectacular!

This so called Jumairah 1,2,3, are those the man made islands you get in Dubai?

Thanks, Shahz. No, the man-made islands are called Palms. The Palm Jumeirah is closest to the Jumeirah area. 1,2 and 3 are districts along the coast.

Wow, very tropical and ornate. The gates are for privacy more than decoration, yes? But beautiful all the same…nice photos.

Uuuuieeee, I think the last one wins the doors internet. 🙂 But I prefer the one with circles, and the two with black and white circular ornaments.

Oh my word, those are some stunning gates! I had thought the first two were the height of luxe and grandeur, but then that last one! WOW! And all the character and style, even some whimsy in between. Really fabulous, thanks for sharing 🙂

They have certainly taken the concept of an iron gate to a whole new level! They are gorgeous. It’s interesting to note that the gates have been given a privacy screen …. not something I’ve ever seen here.
